About The Artist

I am a painter! I love to paint people, animals, special places and… moments from the past. My style is Nostalgic and colourful.  Hopefully, my work reflects the optimism I have toward my life and the world. I have always loved faces. As a teenager, I would try to paint the models from the covers of my mother’s magazines. This was the way I learned to paint!

I have gone through many changes in my life, as we all do, and the changes have been noticeable in my work. I attended university from 1988 to 1992, and during this time, my life was in turmoil. My paintings were dark and disturbing. In 1992, I began a journey of recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. My journey has now taken me to a place where I am happy and I feel loved and my paintings reflect that.

I love the 1920’s and over the past few years my work has gravitated towards this time period.

I am a supporter of the Arts in my local community. I also try to use my art to help support issues that are important to me, such as the local Humane Society, Paws for Greatness, First Step, and the American Cancer Society. Whenever I can I donate paintings to fund-raisers for these groups. The paintings are auctioned off to raise money to support the organizations.

I hope you enjoy my work and that you will visit this site again to see what’s new.
